Preparing for the Class:
All dancers should wear comfortable, cotton or athletic spandex shorts and a T-shirt or tank-top to class. Shorts should not cover the knees. Dancers may not wear jeans, sweatpants, skirts, etc. during practice, as these items will both restrict movement and cover the knees- making it harder to observe proper technique. Dancers do not need to purchase Irish dance shoes since this is an introductory class. Dancers should wear either athletic socks and tennis shoes or ballet slippers if you have them for this class only. Please have hair pulled back out of the face in a pony-tail or bun during practice. Dancers may not chew gum or eat snacks during class. Finally, please have dancers bring a water bottle to practice with his/her name on it, as breaks will be given regularly.
